Congress Reauthorizes Stamp Funding Breast Cancer Research

December 17, 2019

Congress just reauthorized the breast cancer research stamp.

The stamp was originally created in 1998 and since then has raised almost $90 million to support breast cancer research.

Just last year, this research led to a breakthrough in cancer treatment that spared 70,000 women from undergoing needless chemotherapy and the horrible side effects that go with it.

Breast cancer research saves lives and, thanks to the actions and hard work of ACS CAN volunteers, this stamp will continue to fund cancer research through 2027 once it is signed into law by the President.
