On Monday, President Obama laid out his plans for health care reform in an effort to unite lawmakers from both sides of the aisle in anticipation of the White House health care summit to be held on Thursday. ACS CAN and nine other patient, consumer and medical advocacy groups sent a letter to Senate and House leadership urging elected officials to use the upcoming summit as an opportunity to advance efforts to enact meaningful reform. In the letter, the groups urged Congress and the President to "move expeditiously to complete the almost century-old goal of meaningful reform without delay." America's families are counting on it.
