Hundreds of Cancer Advocates Unite on Capitol Hill Today to Call for More Cancer Research Funding

September 28, 2010

More than 600 cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and their families from all 50 states and nearly every congressional district are meeting with their lawmakers today to discuss the need for sustained funding for cancer research and programs. Dressed in blue ACS CAN polo shirts, advocates will spend today discussing the need to make federal funding for cancer research and programs a top national priority. Only then will we have the ability to accelerate the discovery of scientific breakthroughs that will save lives from a disease that kills more than 560,000 people in America each year. Hosted annually by ACS CAN, this year's Lobby Day has proven to be the largest to date. Want to follow the action of Lobby Day from home?
