Letter: Bill supports biomarker testing
This letter originally ran in the Lincoln Journal Star.
This week, ACS CANÈs State Lead Ambassadors (SLA) have come to Washington DC to meet with their elected officials to advocate for health care reform that is easily accessible and affordable. To kick off ACS CAN's Lobby Day on Wednesday, a handful of SLA's will be outside the Capitol South and Union Station Metro Stations in downtown DC distributing carabineers with palm cards highlighting the urgency of the issues for families affected by cancer. Later that morning, they will head to Senate and House offices to push their lawmakers for action, now not later, because cancer patients can't afford to wait.
After all, if we can improve the system to provide equal access to quality care for cancer patients, we can improve the system for virtually everyone.
Remember, if you are in or around the Washington, D.C. area make sure to check out the Capitol South Metro. All advertising space throughout this particular Metro station is dominated by ACS CAN's "Action: Now Not Later" advertising for the entire month of July!
