Illinois Cancer Action Day 2026
Join us for Cancer Action Day in Springfield!
Where: President Abraham Lincoln in Springfield, IL / Illinois State Capitol
Important Travel Information:
***Bus transportation will be available. Pick-up location TBD.
***For those driving: ACS CAN will provide mileage reimbursement. Parking is available at the President Abraham Lincoln in Springfield, IL.
Event Check-in
Check-in will be from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM, where you will receive a folder filled with information for the day. We will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.
Attire
Our Cancer Action Day is also Suits and Sneakers Day at the State Capitol, where lawmakers and staff will wear sneakers at the Capitol to show their support for the cancer community. Please wear business casual attire and your sneakers. If you have a Illinois Fights Cancer t-shirt please wear that, all other participants will recieve a t-shirt at registration.
Location
Our day begins at the President Abraham Lincoln, 701 East Adams Street , Springfield, Illinois 62701. A member of the ACS CAN team will greet attendees at the door and guide them upon arrival.
Meals
ACS CAN will provide lunch and an afternoon snack for you.
Virtual Pre-event Trainings
Attendees are required to attend a virtual pre-event training to find out more information about logisitics and receive a preview of the legislative priorities for Cancer Action Day.

Legislator Meeting information
Attendees can take a 10 minute walk to the Capitol or ride the bus to the Capitol from the President Abraham Lincoln for meetings with lawmakers. During the morning session, we will cover all the policy issue information and logistics you need to know before heading to the Capitol.
Groups received an introduction to group leads once determined. The Group leads will assist in contacting lawmakers' offices about scheduling meetings.
