State Senate Moves Legislation Forward Aimed at Providing Insurance Coverage for More Mississippians

The following is a statement by Kimberly Hughes, Mississippi Government Relations Director for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.

"The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is pleased to see strong support in the Senate for increasing access to health care to more hard-working Mississippians. As an organization dedicated to ending cancer as we know it for everyone, ACS CAN recognizes the pivotal role access to health care plays in cancer prevention, early detection, and lifesaving treatments.

“ACS CAN urges Senate and House leaders to work toward a solution that provides affordable health coverage to hard-working Mississippians, including military veterans and cancer patients.”

Pennsylvania Patients, Advocates, Health Care Providers: “It’s Time to Make All Copays Count!”

A coalition of patients, patient advocacy organizations and health care providers today urge Pennsylvania lawmakers to support  House Bill 2226/SB268, legislation that when passed into law will ensure that patients are getting the full benefit of third party co-pay assistance programs to pay for medications that treat a variety of serious health conditions and improve patients’ survival and quality of life.
