ose R. Ramos Jr. is the treasurer of the ACS CAN Board of Directors and a member of the National Ambassador Team. He previously served as chair of the American Cancer Society’s former California Division Board, as chair of Area Board of San Francisco – Silicon Valley, and has served in a variety of other leadership roles, including as a legislative ambassador for ACS CAN, chair of Relay for Life for California, and as a State Lead Ambassador for California. In 2019, Mr. Ramos was awarded the American Cancer Society’s highest volunteer award, the St. George National Medal of Honor, and in 2022 received ACSCAN’s highest volunteer honor, the Capitol Dome Award.
Mr. Ramos is the Vice President of Marketing for United Way Bay Area. He has held numerous leadership roles in public and private companies, and his experience includes other management roles in the technology and energy verticals, advertising agencies, and management consulting. Mr. Ramos holds BS degrees in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from the University of California at Davis, and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
