Early detection saves lives. That's why it's imperative that the Florida Legislature increase funding for the Mary Brogan Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection program to $6 million and expand program eligibility to begin at age 40.
Our Senators included the full funding ask in their budget, but our House members did not. The Healthcare Budget Confrenece Committee could not come to an agreement. Now, respective Chairs - Senator Hooper & Representative McClure - are being asked to reconcile these differences in order to finalize a budget for FY 2025-26.
