Let's save more lives by reducing obesity, improving nutrition and increasing physical activity

Being overweight or obese is the number one cancer risk for people who don't use tobacco.

The evidence is clear:

  • Approximately two in three adults and one in three youth are overweight or obese.
  • Excess weight increases a person’s risk for many cancers.
  • Over 300,000 cancer cases expected to be diagnosed this year will be caused by poor diet, physical inactivity, alcohol consumption, and excess weight.
