Pierre, S.D. – March 28, 2019 – The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is celebrating the legislature’s passage of and Gov. Kristi Noem signing legislation into law that will prohibit the use of e-cigarettes in public places where smoking is prohibited.

Pierre, S.D. – Feb. 19, 2019 – Fewer South Dakota kids will start using e-cigarettes thanks to Rep. Carl Perry’s proposal to impose a tax on e-cigarettes, which cleared the House Health and Human Services Committee today.

“This session, we will be focusing our energy on increasing support of cancer screening and access to other lifesaving healthcare programs, maintaining funding for tobacco prevention and cessation programs, and decreasing demand for tobacco products including e-cigarettes," said David W. The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) will host its annual Day at the Capitol for cancer advocates on Friday, Feb. 3, in Pierre.
