CHEYENNE, Wyo.—A new poll released today by the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), AARP, the American Heart Association and American Lung Association shows the majority of Wyoming voters support efforts to increase access to health care by expanding Medicaid.

Leading Patient Advocacy Organizations Urge South Dakotans to Support Medicaid Expansion to Provide Health Care to More than 42,000 Residents

Patient advocacy organizations including AARP South Dakota, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), the American Heart Association, South Dakota State Medical Association and the South Dakota Nurses Association have united to launch South Dakotans Decide Healthcare, an effort to let South Dakota voters determine if the state should expand Medicaid health care coverage to more than 42,000 of their fellow lower-income residents.

Bill Introduced in US House of Representatives Extends Medicaid Coverage in US Territories

U.S. Reps. Darren Soto (D-FL) and Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) introduced bipartisan legislation that will be considered by the House Energy and Commerce Committee today to extend funding for Medicaid in Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. The legislation is supported by House Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone (D-NJ) and Ranking Member Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA).
