Texas' Leadership in Cancer Innovations
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) will host its sixth annual Texas Cancer Policy Forum series this fall, uniting key leaders and decision makers in business, health care, and government to consider the potential loss of state funding for cancer prevention and early detection services across the state.
Texas institutions are generating exciting new life-saving therapies and making advances in the fight against cancer, with significant investments from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) fueling the effort. This ongoing work is also providing a healthy boost to the state's economy.
Join us at our forum events in Austin, North Texas or San Antonio to learn more about these programs and what can be done to save the lives of more Texans. A light breakfast will be served.
Confirmed Speakers Include:
Dr. Keith Argenbright, UT Southwestern Moncrief Cancer Institute
Dr. David Gerber, UT Southwestern Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center
Honorable Angela Paxton, Texas State Senate
Ravi Srinivasan, Ph.D, CEO, OncoNano Medicine
Following the program there will be an optional tour of the Texas Center for Proton Therapy. RSVP for more details.
Contributions or membership payments to the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, Inc. are not tax-deductible.
