Our 2019 IL ACS CAN Day at the Capitol will take place on Wednesday, May 1st in Springfield.

This is an incredible opportunity for anyone who wants to engage in our advocacy efforts to make cancer a top priority.  Together as a team, we CAN successfully fight for laws that impact the issue of cancer and help make a difference in the lives of thousands of people in Illinois.

On May 1st, we will descend upon the state Capitol for our annual Suits & Sneakers Day at the Capitol to unite our VOICES to be heard loud and clear!  We will thank our lawmakers who voted YES on Tobacco 21 legislation (that will raise the age of sale of all tobacco products from 18 to 21) and urge them to continue thier efforts on tobacco prevention in Illinois.  We are proud to collaborate again this year with our partners at the American Heart Association, American Lung Association and the Respiratory Health Association to advocate that Tobacco 21 is Unfinished Business for Illinois.

Our Day at the Capitol will begin at the Michael J. Howlett Building (501 S. 2nd St, Springfield, IL 62756 on the Capitol Complex) with check-in at 9:30 am and will conclude at the Illinois State Capitol (301 S. 2nd Street, Springfield, IL 62707) at 3:30pm.

All attendees are expected to join us for DATC Pre-event Training Call on Wednesday, April 24th at 6pm-7pm (CENTRAL).  Join by phone at: (888) 512-3141, Participant Code #: 92788981
