The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) today is celebrating the 35th Great American Smokeout by encouraging lawmakers to protect the health of all Americans by enacting comprehensive state and local smoke-free laws, increasing tobacco taxes and fully funding and implementing tobacco prevention and cessation programs.

During the rally Advocates urged the Governor and the members of the Maryland General Assembly to restore funding for important life-saving cancer and tobacco control programs because they hold the purse strings.
