Protect North Dakota Kids from Big Tobacco
Tobacco use has become an epidemic in schools and among North Dakota’s kids.
This year alone in North Dakota, 1,000 kids will become new daily smokers as the tobacco industry spends over $13.8 million on marketing and advertising to entice new youth smokers.
We need proven tobacco prevention and cessation programs in North Dakota to safeguard our kids, reduce long term health care costs, and help people break the addiction, once and for all!
I urge North Dakota lawmakers to protect our children by increasing funding to the Department of Health’s tobacco prevention and cessation programs.
