Please support strong tobacco control legislation to protect youth from a lifetime of addiction
Big Tobacco uses fruit, candy and mint flavors to attract kids to their harmful products. It shouldn’t be so easy to hide nicotine addiction behind e-cigarette flavors.
Tobacco use among youth is dangerously high, fueled by the proliferation of flavored e-cigarettes on the market that appeal to youth. Among teens who have ever tried an e-cigarette, 96.1 percent used a flavored product for the first time.
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) needs you to support strong tobacco control legislation that restricts flavoring of tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, cigars and hookah, to ensure that tobacco products are effectively regulated to protect youth.
We need your help to protect youth from a lifetime of addiction to harmful tobacco products.
As the FDA continues to delay regulation of the tobacco industry, Congress must act. I am asking you to cosponsor the Reversing the Youth Tobacco Epidemic Act (H.R. 2339) and the Stopping Appealing Flavors in E-Cigarettes (SAFE) Kids Act (S.655/H.R. 1498).
