Petition: I Support Tan Free Teens

Indoor tanning, like tobacco, causes cancer. Indiana doesn't allow kids younger than 18 buy cigarettes and we think it's time for the Hoosier state to protect teens under 18 from indoor tanning, too.

Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States, and rates have been rising for the past 30 years. This year in Indiana more than 1,700 Hoosiers will be diagnosed with melanoma, the most serious and deadly form of skin cancer. Preventing minors from tanning can reduce the incidence of skin cancer and save lives.

Urge lawmakers to support legislation that would prevent minors under the age of 18 from using an indoor tanning device.
